GoID Activation Instructions

As we have previously informed you we are adding an additional layer of security to your FirstMerit e-Connect online banking service. Providing a secure connection with multi-factor authentication between you and your financial data is important to us and has been mandated by the agencies that exam financial institutions. We are providing to you, at no cost, a GoID authentication device (token) that must be used when accessing your FirstMerit e-Connect online banking service. You will not be able to access your accounts online beginning Monday, January 8th without first activating your GoID device. A Go ID Kit will be sent to you shortly, which will contain your FirstMerit GoID token. Click here to go to the GoID Token activation page.

You will need to do the following in order to activate the device: Sign on to the FirstMerit GoID Token Activation page by going to www.firstmerit.com. Click the green tab labeled Commercial In the WHITE Area under Online Banking Information click on eConnect Click GoID Token Activation. Fill in the required fields. Activation code is FirstMerit Password is the six (6) digit numeric display visible on the GoID token. The numeric display changes every 60 seconds. The password for the Activation screen IS NOT your FirstMerit e-Connect password. Users cannot access e-Connect without the GoID Token. If the GoID should fail, it must be returned to FirstMerit for replacement, at no charge. A replacement fee of $40.00 will be charged to your account for the Go ID token due to loss, theft, damage or destruction.
