FirstMerit e-Connect Online Banking Service is a web browser based system which gives you
quick, easy and timely access to your checking account information from the comfort of your office. Updated account information such as account balances, debit and credit detail, for both previous day and current day reporting, is downloaded to your PC each business day. Other bank transactions, such as wire transfers, internal transfer of funds, ACH disbursements and/or collections, federal and/or state tax payments, and stop payments can also be conveniently initiated.
Account Reconciliation Services
Account Reconciliation Services increase staff productivity and help you gain control of your accounts. It also saves you time in verifying your transaction records. Monthly reports are provided detailing outstanding and paid checks for the statement period. All exceptions are corrected before rendering the statement. Canceled checks are sorted in numerical order.
Image Processing
Image Processing eliminates the need to receive physical canceled checks with your bank statement. Your canceled items are digitally imaged (both front and back sides) and recorded on a CD-ROM for storage and viewing. Extremely quick queries, unparalleled quality of copies, and a significant reduction in record retention space and time make this product a must for you company.
Positive Pay
Defend your company against check fraud with Positive Pay. Each time checks are issued,
you provide FirstMerit with issue information such as dollar amount and serial number. FirstMerit
will match the dollar amount and the serial of presented items against the dollar amount and serial numbers you provided to us. Any non-matches between the two files are reported to you daily
for pay or no-pay decisions.
Cash Vault
Increased employee safety and elimination of employee cash processing are reasons to consider using FirstMerit Cash Vault. Our Cash Vault provides professionally trained personnel, working in a secure environment, to meet all currency and coin processing and orders.
TaxTeL
Make your federal and/or state tax payments from the comfort of your office using a touch-tone telephone. With FirstMerit TaxTeL, maintain control of your funds and your account by initiating the tax payment yourself instead of allowing the government to access your account.
Data Exchange
Data Exchange enables you to receive previous day bank account, transaction information and descriptive text from all of your financial institutions worldwide from a consolidated source of data, in a preferred format (Bankers Administration Institute, Version 2 [BAI 2] that can be easily manipulated by your Treasury Workstation or imported into your reconcilement package.
This information allows more timely investment decisions and automates other key business functions such as account reconciliation and cash flow forecasting.
- Balance and transaction reporting: You can retrieve balances, debits and credits, and related
text desciptions to get a gloal view of all financial activity nationally or internationally.
- Standard reporting format: BAI 2 format allows multiple banks' activity
to be consolidated into one file.
- International reporting: Information from banks throughout the world is
available for your retrieval. Multiple currencies are supported. Data Exchange
also allows information retrieval from S.W.I.F.T member banks.
- Multiple communication access methods: Provide flexibility for different sophistication levels of reporting Financial Institutions from High Speed Communication to Personal Computer and Terminal.
