Which personal accounts can I transfer funds between?
With Online Banking, you can immediately transfer funds between:
 Checking, SavingsLine of CreditRetail Loans, Credit Cards, Mortgages

Funds transferred into Checking and Savings accounts by midnight Eastern Time will be available immediately at the branch (if during business hours), to pay checks and other debits in nightly processing, and at Point of Sale terminals and ATMs. Funds transferred into line of credit accounts will be available on the next business day.

Online Banking transfers are processed upon request and you can view the results immediately online on the Account Listing page.

You may only transfer funds to and from accounts that are linked under the same User I.D. and have an available balance in the amount you wish to transfer. If one of your accounts does not appear in the Account List or you wish to add an account, call 1-888-554-4362, Option 3, then 3, to speak with a representative, or e-mail us at customerservice@firstmerit.com.

When a transfer to a line of credit is processed, the transfer will not be reflected in the line of credit available balance until the next business day. If you are transferring funds to a line of credit as a payment for the current month, please make sure that you have received your statement. If your statement has not cut, the payment made will post as an extra payment to the account. Federal regulations limit the number of electronic transfers you may make from savings/money market accounts to no more than six per monthly statement cycle (not counting transactions made at ATMs).
